12 Things Satan Does to Get Victory Over Christians - YOU ARE AN OVERCOMER, SO OVERCOME & OPERATE IN VICTORY

I heard Dr. David Jeremiah* share this during one of his teachings on his Turning Point Boardcast and was reminded of the things we must do to be empowered and live in the power that God has equipped us with in Him. Take time to assess your life against this list and make the needed adjustment to move further into that place of power and strength and victory made available to us through Christ Jesus.

I echo the encouragement of Paul and say "...By  no means do I count myself an expert in all of this, but I've got my eye on the goal, where God is beckoning us onward - to Jesus. I'm off and running and I'm not turning back. So let's keep focused on that goal, those of us who want everything God has for us. If any of you have something else in mind, something less than total commitment, God will clear your blurred vision - you'll see it yet! Now that we're on the right track, let's stay on it." Philippians 3:13-16 The Message

12 THINGS SATAN DOES TO GET VICTORY OVER CHRISTIANS
Satan said to a convention of Demons, “As long as Christians stay close to God, we have no power over them.  So here are 12 things you can do to get victory over Christians.”
1)  Keep them busy with non essentials.
2)  Tempt them to overspend and go into debt.
3)  Make them work long hours to maintain empty life styles.
4)  Discourage them from spending family time together, for when their homes disintegrate there is no refuge from work.
5)  Over stimulate their minds with television and computers, so they can’t hear God speaking to them.
6)  Fill their coffee tables and nightstands with newspapers and magazines so they have no time to read the Bible.
7)  Flood their mailboxes with sweepstakes promotions and get rich quick schemes to keep them chasing material things.
8)  Put glamour models on TV  and on magazine covers to keep them focused on outward appearances.  That way they will be dissatisfied with themselves and dissatisfied with their mates.
9)  Make sure couples are too exhausted for physical intimacy so they will be tempted to look elsewhere.
10)  Make Santa and the easter bunny bigger than Jesus to divert them from remembering the real meaning of the holiday.
11)  Involve them in good causes so they won’t have time for eternal ones.
12)  Make them self  satisfied. Keep them busy working in their own strength so they’ll never know the joy of God’s power working through them.
Remember my demons, keep them busy!  Busy!  Busy!  Because we know what it stands for:
*  B=BEING
*  U=UNDER
*  S=SATANS
*  Y=YOKE

Encourage Yourself

Life can try to get the best of us at times. Pressures, problems, disappointments and unforeseen crisis arise. What do your do during those times?  Here's the answer: You take time to encourage yourself!! You take time to process through your emotions - not taking more time then needed. You then pick yourself up, dry the tears from your eyes, and wash your tear stained face and you then you begin to encourage yourself.  You tap into all you know to be true and TRUTH. You grab hold of the promise that GOD IS PRESENT HELP and refuse to let go!!  You humble yourself, clear the clutter of doubt and fear from in front of your heart and you position yourself to HEAR ALL that God is saying and DO ALL that He has revealed for you to do.

 I heard a teacher once say "Sometimes we feel overwhelmed and hopeless and when this happens you need to focus on whats most important to you. You need to take a look at what the priorties are and then start taking action to make those things happen. Unsually when you're overwhelmed or feeling hopeless it is because you are trying to do too much at one time and you are not focusing on what's important. Start by focusing on the important stuff and then begin taking one step at a time and things will start to fall into place."

THINGS will fall into place and YOU will not fall because of the weight of it all just sitting on your shoulders unprocessed.

Read the lyrics to the words of the song "Encourage Yourself" by Donald Lawrence and then watch these words acted out by two powerful Mimes I found on You Tube.

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Sometimes you have to encourage yourself.
Sometimes you have to speak victory during the test.
And no matter how you feel,
speak the word and you will be healed;
speak over yourself,
encourage yourself in the Lord.
Sometimes you have to speak the word over yourself,
the pressure is all around,
but God is present help.
The enemy created walls,
but remember giants, they do fall;
speak over yourself,
encourage yourself in the Lord.
Bridge:
As I minister to you, I minister to myself,
life can hurt you so,
'til you feel there's nothing left.
(No matter how you feel),
(speak the word and you will be healed).
Speak over yourself.
*(Declare over yourself =)
I'm encouraged.
I'm encouraged.
I'm encouraged.
I'm encouraged.
*(decree over yourself =)I'm encouraged,
Speak over yourself,
encourage yourself in the Lord.
Keep Moving Forward as the Way of Water
I  once head someone say that when water meets with obstacles on its path or a blockage in the way of its journey, it pauses; it increases in volume and strength, filling up in front of the obstacle and eventually spilling past it.
When we run into obstacles along our path of life it is wise to follow the way of water; remaining in position, taking time to build on the wisdom in and around us, not giving up our focus but tapping into our strength.  This increases our wisdom and understanding. Stragegies are improved and by standing firm in the churning of our determination we make it past that which was in our way.
Quiting is not an option. Resting and refocusing is a must. Follow the way of water, refreshing yourself along the way.
Be IN courage,
Linda Michelle
Faith and Trust
This is a word of encouragement I received today from a truly anointed sister. I pray it blesses you as much as it has me.
I want to encourage you today...trust Him! No matter what your situation, no matter what the circumstance, trust Him!
I heard someone say a long time ago, faith is confidence in someone's ability to do something, trust is putting yourself in their hands while they do it! The example I heard was like a man walking on a tight rope from one high rise to another, the man has done it before, so you have faith he can do it again. But trust is to get in a wheelbarrow and let him push you across the tight rope to the other side! Big difference!
So even if you are faced with a tight rope situation...Have faith and trust Him! He can and will do it! God is always true to His word!
The Light is ON - Move forward in Faith
Inspirational word of encouragement to help fuel your faith and annihilate your doubt:
"Look not mournfully into the past. It comes not back again.
Wisely improve the present. It is thine.
Go forth to meet the shadowy future, without fear."
-Henry Wadsworth Longfellow
"You, O Lord, keep my lamp burning; my God turns my darkness into light.
With your help I can advance against a troop;
with my God I can scale a wall."
-Psalm 18:28-29 (NIV)
Excerpts of Inspiration - Lift Up Your Head - Look UP
"He replied, "You of little faith, why are you so afraid?" Then He got up and rebuked the winds and the waves, and it was completely calm." (Matthew 8:26)
There are many different kind of "winds" blowing in our lives today. They blow in the form of health and financial challenges; time and energy dilemma's; family obligations and desires to honor frienships, on top of the time and energy dilemma. The winds take the shape of answered prayers and breakthroughs; manifestations and long sought after wisdom. These "winds" are welcomed as tropical tradewinds on gloriously sunny days. And yet, without the proper protection from even those wonderful winds, sunburn and chafing can take place. Protection is the key inspiration I focus on today; the protection of the promises of God's love and His Word.
God promises to never leave us, nor forsake us.
God promises to be our Refuge and our strength.
God promises to supply all of our needs according to His riches in glory by Christ Jesus.
God promises to give us peace in the midst of our storms. (Is.43:2; Is. 41:10; Phil 4:6,7)
God promises to give us wisdom for every situation.(James 1:5;Ps.32:8;Pro.3:5-6;2 Tim.1:7; Pro.16:3)
God promises to order our steps as we trust in Him.(Is.50:7; Ps. 32:8;Ps.32:8;Pro.3:5-6)
God promises to renew our strength as it is depleted.(Is.41:10;Is.40:29,31;Ps.27:14)
God promises to perfect those things that concern us.(Ps 138:8;Ps 55:22;1 Thess. 5:24)
God promises to take care of those we love. (Acts 16:31; Ps. 138:3;Ps. 115:,12,13)
God promises to give us rest when we are weary.(Is 30:15a;Matt. 11:28;John 14:16-17; Ps.27:14;Ps. 33:20; Ps. 145:18,19)
God promises to give us joy, beyond our hearts desires.(Ps.37:4; Is.65:24;Matt.21:22;
Jer.33:3)
God promises to give us courage in the face of battle. (Ps. 91:15; 2 Cor.3:17;2 Tim.1:7; Pro. 3:25,26)
God promises to give us comfort when we are in need. (Ro.8:31;Ps.138:3;Ps 23:Is
43:2)
God promises to love us, even when we don't feel loved.(John 16:27;Ro.8:38,39;John3:16;John 15:9,10;John 14:21)
God promises that His promises are true and can be trusted!(Is. 40:8; Malachi 3:6; Matt. 24:35; 1 Kings, 8:56b; Heb. 10:23)
Joyce Meyer encourages us to "..Refuse to live in Fear. A confident woman refuses to live in fear. "I will not live in fear, is the only acceptable attitude we can have towards fear. That does not mean that we will not feel fear, but it does mean that we will not allow it to rule our decisions and actions. Fear is not from God; it is the devil's tool to keep people from enjoying their lives and making progress. The Bible says in Hebrews 10:38 that we are to live by faith and not draw back in fear - and if we draw back in fear, God's soul has no delight in us. That does not mean that God does not live us; it means that He is diappointed because He wants us to experience all of the good things He has in His plan of us. We can recieve from God only by faith." (The Confident Woman Devotional, July 2)
Lift up your bowed down head, for your help is here, even now. Take time to look up each of those promises above for yourself in your own Bible and apply them to your current situaion. Then LOOK UP, away from your circumstances and situaion and see the winds shifting-- your help is at hand. The victory is yours!
