Prayers for "Baby Faith" - Court Case on 24 January 2013

  Today I write for urgent prayer for "Baby Faith"; a 1 year old who first came to my attention 7 months ago, when she was 4 month, believed to have been sexually abused by her mom's side of the family - with the knowledge and believed consent of the mom.

God's Word is Truth and does not return to Him void. His Word declares that the prayers of the righteous avail much. His Word declares that we are to ask in faith, with no doubting, for he who doubts is like a wave of sea driven and tossed by the wind.
His Word decrees that we are to "Trust in Him with all of our heart and lean not to our own understanding. In all of our ways acknowledge Hm and He will direct our paths." (Proverbs 3:5-6).

Please stand in agreement with me that "Baby Faith's" case will be won for her favor and God's perfect ordained will; that she will be protected from any and all abuse and that she will grow up healthy, whole and surrendered to the perfect will of God for her life, in the name of Jesus. Pray that all provisions that are needed: perfect lawyer, funds to cover all fees and provisions for her every need are met. Pray that her daddy - who is fighting to keep her safe and protected - is surrendered to and obedient to the things of God and that he will see and receive all that God has for him, including the peace that surpasses all understanding, in the name of Jesus.

Stop Worrying and Start Living

An all time favorite teacher of mine is Norman Vincent Peale.

Allow these timeless words of this wise man of God encourage you, from an excerpt of his booklet "Stop Worrying and Start Living."

"Your physical mechanism is sensitive to whatever goes on in your mind. And since worry is located in your mind, it can have a devastating affect on all parts of your body. This is how it works.

A worry thought first cuts a thin trickle or rivulet across the consciousness. Repeated, it deepens into a channel of fear or anxiety. Presently almost every thought comes up tinctured with worry or fear. As a result, you become a person of fear,  a confirmed worrier.  You have, by this process, created a mental climate in which worry thrives and grows and finally takes over, dominating your whole life experience.

To arrest this tragic process, the first step it to revamp your worry-conditioned mental climate by gradually substituting a spiritual climate. That can be done by inserting into  consciousness a fresh new system of thinking. To correct an unhealthy physical condition, the doctor often prescribes medication in the form of a pill which dissolves in the blood stream. It fights the infection present in the body, finally destroying it so that vigorous well-being prevails.  In similar manner we may prescribe spiritual medication in the form of a healing thought.

The physician's prescription uses the symbol Rx, "Take thou." So we suggest, "Take thou" the great Word of God into your mind. Let it dissolve deeply into your conscious control center where your life pattern is formed. It will, if tenaciously held there, drive from your thoughts the infections which have for so long fed the disease of worry. This spiritual "medicine" will definitely result in the attainment of healthy-mindedness through freedom from worry." (unquote)

Understanding and Implementing the Power of Prayer

I have gained a lot of wisdom from studying the teachings of Charles Capps. One of the tools I use often is his "God's Creative Power Gift Collection" which features "God's Creative Power Will Work For You"; "God's Creative Power for Healing" and  "God's Creative Power for Finances".  It is small book that contains some powerful declarations and confessions to help me regulate my "mouth with my spirit".

A brief clip from his book "Releasing the Ability of God Through Prayer" (Harrison House, ISBN number = 0-89274-075-2) inspired me this morning and I trust it will take you further into your purpose, armed with this wisdom of implementing the Power of Prayer.

"If you say, "Well, I believe in prayer, then prayer ought to work for me," in this same way you could say, "I believe in flying, therefore I ought to be able to fly." Just because you believe in flying does not mean you can get in that 747 and fly it. You might get it off the ground and you might get in trouble, to say the least!"

(Note: Speaking of trouble, have you seen the  movie "Flight" starring Denzel Washington?  Major Trouble on so many levels, would you not agree??)

"Well, what makes us think the Word of God is any different? If we are going to operate in the Word accurately, we will have to spend time learning.

It is the same with the law of electricity. If you don't understand the laws that govern electricity, you are liable to get into trouble. The same power that will wash your clothes and cook your food and heat your  house will kill you if you violate the laws that govern it. The Word of God is no less powerful. It operates on laws that will work when applied by  whosoever will.

If I got in an airplane and said, "Well, I know that the book says if you are going to climb over a 50-foot obstacle in 1200 feet, you have use 20-degree flaps, but I just don't feel like it. It looks to me like it ought to clear the hanger without flaps." It doesn't matter how I feel or how it looks, I better go by what the book says or I am going to be in trouble.

So are our prayers in trouble when we don't use God's rulebook. When you do things accurately according to the Word of God, you have all heaven behind you and the Word will work for you." (End Quote)
